For several years, I have taught classes to the Life Long
Learning Institutes in three local colleges. Due to other conflicts, I
will not be teaching in 2012. Below is an outline of the classes that I
have taught.
From
Solomon to Gaudi: A History of European Church Architecture
This
course traces the development of church architecture from Solomon’s Temple
through the early Romanesque structures of the 4th century, the
Gothic Cathedrals of the Middle Ages, the Baroque Churches of the Italian
Renaissance to the Spanish Modernisme of Gaudi.
The nine sessions will examine with lectures, slides, illustrations,
models and elevations the 130 churches that the lecturer has visited in England,
France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Spain during the past seven years.
