CATHEDRAL AND CHURCH MODELSI have made models of the following Cathedrals, Abbeys and Churches plus four castles and several secular buildings. Over the past nine years we have visited these Romanesque and Gothic structures with the exception of St. Ambrose in Milan, Palace of the Popes in Avignon, Temple of Fortuna Virile and Cluny (which no longer exits). These models are made from "kits" but require cutting, scoring, folding, gluing hundreds of VERY small parts. The average size is 12" w X 24" l X 18" h. The models range in scale from 1:100 to 1:400. They come as a book or individual pages in a box printed on card paper. Among the publishers of these "kits" are Schreiber-Bogan, L Instant Durable and Domus. Many of the "kits" are no longer published and are very difficult to find. I use these models in my Church Architecture classes that I have taught at George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College and the College of Southern Maryland. For a complete list of all of the models I have made thus far plus models kits that I own but have not made please click here.
